Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of vacancy in judgment of rear-end collision danger by drawing out a predicted position repeatedly based on the relative velocity to an object car when the object car goes out of a distance measuring region due to level change on the running road. CONSTITUTION:When the object car goes out of a distance measuring region due to level change on the running road, relative velocity to the object car is calculated with an arithmetic circuit 3 from the change in distance to the object car to that moment. Milage difference between the selfcar and the object car in the elapsed time after deviating from the distance measuring region is withdrawn based on the relative velocity. And a prediction position of the object car is withdrawn from the distance difference and the position immediately before the deviation of the object car from the distance measuring region. This calculation is repeated until the car runs for 100m, for example, to avoid the vacancy of the judgment. In other words, the data calculated with the arithmetic circuit 3 is processed with a data processing circuit 5, a change in operation state and the like of the object car is withdrawn and danger of rear-end collision is judged.
