Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase track density of an optical recording medium and to increase the recording capacity of the medium. SOLUTION: This optical recording medium is an optical recording medium irradiating a read-out light beam onto the optical recording medium in which a phase pit is formed and a reflectance of which is changed by a temp. and which reads the phase pit while partially changing the reflectance in a scan spot. A track pitch(p) of a pit RP of a recording signal in the direction orthogonally intersecting with a scan direction of a laser beam is made 1/2 or below of the spot diameter D of the laser beam.
