Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a method by which a cross-linked polyterafluoroethylene(PTFE) resin having excellent creep and abrasion resistances, even a relatively thick PTFE resin can be produced at a low cost without relying on radiation cross-linking. SOLUTION: This method for producing the cross-linked PTFE resin comprises reacting a powdery uncross-linked PTFE resin with a silane coupling agent at a prescribed temperature and sintering the modified PTFE resin obtained by the reaction at 335-350 deg.C temperature for a prescribed time.
