The central control part 14 of a portable telephone set 1 is provided with a contents registration control part 141, a notification date/notification method setting part 142 and a designated date monitoring part 143. The contents registration control part 141 carries out the registration update operation of pay contents. The notification date/notification method setting part 142 sets the notification date of the service acquisition period expiration of the pay contents, and sets either the notification of a warning message or the attachment of an icon for warning to a stand-by screen as a notification method in the expiration notification according to the designation of the user. A designated date monitoring part 143 monitors the lapse of the service acquisition period set by the notification date/notification method setting part 142, and outputs a signal for warning when the preliminarily designated service acquisition period expiration date has arrived, and makes a display part 16 display the warning.
