Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a catalyst for removing CO in a hydrogen-containing gas, improved in its catalytic activity, and to provide its manufacturing method and a method for oxidizing and removing the CO in the hydrogen-containing gas using the catalyst. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the catalyst for removing the CO in the hydrogen-containing gas, alumina or alumina-titania is used as a carrier, and an active metal compound is supported on the carrier. As for the alumina, alumina having the maximum value of distribution of pore radii at 100 Å or less is used.
