Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-aqueous electrolyte battery device for satellite that is stably rechargeable and dischargeable for long term. SOLUTION: A satellite is loaded with a solar cell 4 and a non-aqueous electrolyte battery device 1 (lithium battery). The non-aqueous electrolyte battery device 1 comprises a non-aqueous electrolyte battery 5, a temperature sensor 9, a recharge state measuring sensor 10, and a computer 8 being inputted with signals from both sensor 9, 10. A management temperature of the non-aqueous electrolyte battery 5 is set equally to or less than the management temperature in non-shined time as in shined time and is maintained within a certain temperature band as a temperature adjusting device is controlled by the computer 8. The recharged state is controlled by on or off of a recharge switch 12 by the computer 8. At the beginning of non-shine time of the satellite, a recharge state of the non-aqueous electrolyte battery 5 is maintained to more than 50% by controlling, and in shining, the recharge state of the non-aqueous electrolyte battery 5 is maintained to less than 75%.
