Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information source browsing system which is easy for a user to use by making a route check periodically on information sources in an area that the user frequently uses. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a movement track recording means 21 which detects and records the movement track of a client computer 2, an information source detecting means 22 which specifies the area that the user frequently use according to the recorded movement track and generates a list of information sources relating to the area, and a new link detecting means 23 which detects whether or not the information sources in the generated list are updated and whether or not there is a new information source relating to the specified area by accessing a server computer 1 and informs the user of the detection results as newly-arrived information. The newly-arrived information is displayed in a WWW browser 28 so that the user can browse it.
