To provide a fingerprint input function of high precision and a pointing device function of high operability.

A sensor input device 160 of this input device for generating an input signal in response to finger contact to be functioned as a fingerprint input device and a pointing device is provided with a movable guide 162 for specifying a finger position on a finger contact face of a sensor part 161. The movable guide 162 moves vertically by a guide driving mechanism 164, with drive-control of a motor 163, in response to an operation executed by a mobile communication terminal or the like mounted with the sensor input device 160. The movable guide 162 is driven therein to be projected from the finger contact face of the sensor part 161, when moving a finger one-dimensionally in fingerprint authentication or the like. When the authentication ends, the motor 163 is drive-controlled, and the projected movable guide 162 is stored to use the sensor part 161 as the pointing device.
