To provide a radioactive material storage facility executable easily, and capable of shortening the term of works.
This radioactive material storage facility has a concrete storage chamber 4 for storing a radioactive waste 1, an intake duct 5 for taking the outside air into the storage chamber 4 by natural ventilation and an exhaust duct 5 for discharging the air in the storage chamber 4, and an inlet part slit shield 8a on the storage chamber inlet part and an outlet part slit shield 8b on the storage chamber outlet part. The slit shields 8a, 8b have a plurality of shielding plates made of precast concrete slabs arrayed mutually in parallel toward the direction of a circulation passage at mutual intervals. A formwork made of precast concrete slabs is arranged on the periphery of the circulation passage wherein the slit shields 8a, 8b are arranged. The tip of the shielding plate has a streamline shape.
