To urge an operator to use a mode prioritizing fuel economy.
A hybrid automobile 20 selects either a normal travel mode or an economy mode prioritizing the fuel economy compared with the normal travel mode, based on the operation by the operator. For example, when the economy mode is selected, fuel economy in saving fuel during the travel in the economy mode is acquired based on a required torque required for the travel, and the normal-time fuel economy that will be acquired during the travel in the normal travel mode is calculated. Fuel economy difference information as information on difference between the normal-time fuel economy and the fuel economy in saving fuel is acquired by empirically restricting so as not to be an excess value, and the acquired fuel economy difference information is stored in a flash memory 78 and is displayed on a display 62. In this way, the difference between the fuel economy in the normal travel mode and that in the economy mode is recognized by the operator, so that the effect of the economy mode is recognized by the operator.
