To provide a small-sized hydraulic power generation device capable of solving a floatage problem affecting power generation and a sedimentation problem of earth, sand and the like which are problems in hydraulic power generation and providing good power generation efficiency by adding a means making flowing water energy more effectively utilized for power generation without making a device large in scale.
This device is provided with a hydraulic turbine section 30 having a hydraulic turbine with a rotary shaft in a direction perpendicular to water flow and having a square tube shape outer circumference part, a string shape screen section 10 arranging plate shape long members for preventing flow-in of floatage in parallel with keeping inclination angle to water flow, and a water introduction section 20 provided with a plate shape water introduction member to introduce flowing water to a zone at a side contributing rotary force of a hydraulic turbine. A downstream flowing water guidance section 100 accompanied by a plate shape member projecting with keeping open angle toward a downstream direction in angle range form 30 to 70 degrees is attached at both side part outsides of the hydraulic turbine section 30 as a means reducing harmful influence to hydraulic turbine rotating force of winding-around of the flowing water from an outside of the hydraulic turbine rear side.
