To perform effective deodorization and wrinkle removal even for the clothes of mainly a delicate material, to stably perform the deodorization, and to be effective for the clothes of a chemical fiber material as well.
The drum type washing and drying machine has a deodorization mode of performing deodorization by utilizing a circulation blowing route 9 for drying clothes or the like inside a rotary drum 4 housed in a water tub 3 and provided with many holes by discharging air inside the water tub 3 by a blowing fan 12, performing dehumidification accompanied by the discharge of dew condensation water, then performing heating and blowing air into the water tub 3 repeatedly and a mist supply part 30 provided to the blowing side of the circulation blowing route 9, wetting the dried clothes or the like inside the rotary drum 4 by mist supplied from the mist supply part 30 without rotating the rotary drum 4 and then drying the clothes by heated air. In the deodorization mode, mist treatment and drying are performed at least once each.
