To provide a dustproof connector having both the dustproof function and the floating function, and to provide an electric power tool using the same.
The dustproof floating connector which is mounted to a corresponding base BT disposed parallel with a counter base BB, and to which a counter connector mounted to the counter base is connected for electrically connecting between both bases has: a floating housing 50 demarcating an opening 52 to be inserted with the counter connector and making corresponding connector contacts 90 locate in the opening 52; and a fixed housing 70 mounted to the corresponding base BT. A flexible portion 94 floatingly supports the floating housing 50 with a space kept between the floating housing 50 and the fixed housing 70 and the flexible portion 94 is positioned on a rear side which is opposite to the side to be inserted with the counter connector, and the rear side is covered with a cover 30 in order to prevent the space between the floating housing 50 and the fixed housing 70 from being intruded with dust.
