To provide resin particles which have an extremely high recovery rate and excellent feeling (smoothness, soft feeling, elasticity), exhibit superior spreadability at the time of coating, uniform coatability, and resistance against removal of particles when they are used in a coating material or the like, and are remarkably excellent in dispersibility and redispersibility in an aqueous medium.

The base material of the resin particles is a polymer formed from a mixture containing at least 10-30 wt.% of a crosslinkable monomer (I) represented by general formula (I): CH2=C(CH3)-COO-(CH2CH2O)m-CO-C(CH3)=CH2(wherein, m is an integer of 5-20), 5-20 wt.% of a crosslinkable monomer (II) represented by general formula (II): CH2=C(CH3)-COO-(CH2CH2O)n-CO-C(CH3)=CH2(wherein, n is an integer of 1-4), and 85-50 wt.% of a (meth)acrylate, and exhibits a recovery rate of 30-40%.
