Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a word with a prefix synonymous to a combination of a subject and a predicate contained in a sentence or a clause.SOLUTION: A synonym generating device comprises a prefix/predicative expression comparative table 20 that has, for each prefix, a list of predicative expressions having the meaning of the prefix; a sentence structure meaning analysis unit 12 that analyzes an object sentence inputted to an object sentence input unit 10 for the meaning in the sentence structure and extracts a subject/predicate set; a word candidate generating unit 14 that searches the prefix/predicative expression comparative table 20 for prefixes matching the extracted predicate and, by linking each of the prefixes thereby found with the extracted subject, generates candidates for the word synonymous to the subject/predicate set; and a synonym determining unit 16 that selects out of the generated candidates what is included in the vocabulary of a standard dictionary 22 and outputs the same as a word with a prefix matching the subject/predicate set.
