Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent, in a suspension using a functional fluid having a viscosity that varies when energized, a lead wire delivered outside to break under stress caused by vibration.SOLUTION: A washing machine includes a suspension for supporting, in a vibration-proof manner, a water tank provided inside with a rotary washing tub, the suspension having a functional fluid that is contained in a cylinder, the fluid having a viscosity that varies when electric energy is applied. The viscosity of the functional fluid functions as friction that resists vibration of the water tank to attenuate the vibration of the water tank. A lead wire for applying electric energy is delivered outside the cylinder and is provided in a manner securely held by a wiring securing member attached to an outside face of the cylinder.
