Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine with low power consumption in which regenerative electric power resulting from inertia rotation occurring immediately after stopping an operation of a motor of a washing machine may be efficiently used.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine 100 having a function to execute operations from a washing step up to a drying step including a dewatering step comprises: a rotary drum 30 for placing landry therein and an outer tub 22; a rotary drum driving motor 37 for driving the rotary drum 30; an inverter circuit 67 for supplying power to the rotary drum driving motor 37; and a drying heater 41 for heating the rotary drum 30 and the inside of the outer tub 22. In the operation steps of a washing/drying course for performing the operations from the washing step up to the drying step including the dewatering step, regenerative electric power generated by the rotary drum driving motor 37 during inertia rotation of the rotary drum 30 occurring immediately after completing the dewatering step is supplied to the drying heater 41. Thus, power consumed by the heater in the drying step may be reduced.
