Abstract:

To homogenize fly ash while suppressing the equipment cost of decarbonization treatment when unburned carbon in the fly ash is removed.

In a method for removing the unburned carbon in the fly ash, an unburned carbon content is reduced to a target value by removing the unburned carbon contained in the fly ash FA1. The fly ash FA1 containing the unburned carbon is stored, partial fly ash FA1-1 of the stored fly ash FA1 is decarbonized, decarbonized fly ash FA2 whose unburned carbon content is lower than the target value is produced, the decarbonized fly ash FA2 is mixed with undecarbonized fly ash FA1-2, and the unburned carbon content of the mixed fly ash FA3 is adjusted to the target value. The unburned carbon content of the undecarbonized fly ash FA1-2 is measured, and a decarbonization rate in the decarbonization treatment is preferably adjusted on the basis of the measurement results.
