Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine that can reduce the water content of the clothing without increasing power consumption during dewatering to reduce entire power consumption from washing to drying.SOLUTION: A washing and drying machine for performing washing, rinsing, dewatering and drying, comprises: an inner tank 3 as a washing and dewatering tank rotatably provided inside an outer tank 3 for storing washing water; a driving device 4 for rotatably driving the inner tank; a water supplying mechanism for supplying the washing water to the outer tank; and an air blowing mechanism 28 for supplying hot air into the inner tank. The water supplying mechanism has a water supplying valve 16b, a water softening device 19, and a regenerating mechanism 22 for regenerating a water softening agent of the water softening device. The mechanism supplies water through the water softening device into the outer tank when supplying water except for the last rinsing, supplies water regenerated from the water softening agent of the water softening device into the outer tank when supplying water for the last rinsing so that the hardness of rinsing water is greater than that of tapped water, and thereafter dewatering and drying is performed.
