Abstract:
To provide an aluminum alloy sheet for a battery case, which has formability and laser weldability for manufacturing the battery case and is improved in strength and pressure resistance (blister resistance), and to provide the battery case using the aluminum alloy sheet.
In the aluminum alloy sheet for a battery case containing, by mass%, 0.4-1.5% of Mn, 0.7-4.0% of Cu, 0.2-1.5% of Mg, 0.05-1.0% of Si, 0.05-1.0% of Fe and the balance being Al and inevitable impurities, the contents of Zn, Ti and B are controlled to be ≤0.3%, <0.02% and ≤20 mass ppm, respectively, in the inevitable impurities.
