Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method for properly reproducing a fine, indefinite and complex surface shape, and for freely varying vertical and horizontal lengths of the shapes, height differences, and a ratio thereof, easily.SOLUTION: A second captured image obtained by imaging a subject irradiated with illumination light from obliquely left or right direction and a third captured image obtained by imaging the subject irradiated with the illumination light from a direction symmetric to that of the second captured image, are synthesized with a first image obtained by imaging the subject irradiated perpendicularly with the illumination light, after inverse gradation treatment.
