Abstract:
Provided is a method for treating ammoniacal nitrogen-containing wastewater, which allows ammoniacal nitrogen-containing waste water to be treated with a simple method. The method for treating ammoniacal nitrogen-containing wastewater provides for, in ammoniacal nitrogen-containing wastewater that contains ammoniacal nitrogen, the presence of the following: a bromine-based oxidizing agent (or the reactants of a bromine compound and chlorine-based oxidizing agent) and a sulfamic acid compound; or a mixture (or a reaction product) of a bromine-based oxidizing agent (or the reactants of a bromine compound and a chlorine-based oxidizing agent) and a sulfamic acid compound; or a mixture of bromine and a sulfamic acid compound, or a reaction product of bromine and a sulfamic acid compound.
