PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus that can reduce an influence due to eccentric aberration according to an attitude of an optical system and effectively reduce color blur in a color image.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus 100 comprises: detection means 102 that detects a first area where a signal level in a color plane corresponding at least to one color filter in an image that is obtained from an imaging element including a plurality of color filters, or a signal level of a luminance plane that is generated from the image, is monotonously increased or monotonously decreased in a first direction in a predetermined section; determination means 103 that determines a second area where color blur occurs on the basis of optical information on color blur in an imaging optical system, information on an attitude of the imaging optical system, and information on the first area; and correction means 104 that corrects the image to reduce color blur.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
