Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that: the performance required for a tire is becoming higher every year and the development of a tire having also a low fuel consumption while maintaining the wet performance, is desired; in order to improve the wet performance, there is a technique such as increasing the amount of filler, but the low fuel consumption performance is not obtained; in addition, the anti-crack initiation property deteriorates; also, making the thickness of a cap tread thinner overall brings about a low rolling resistance, but the anti-abrasion performance is lowered.SOLUTION: The problem was solved by a rubber composition incorporating a silica by 30 to 180 pts.mass, a styrenated phenol compound composed mainly of distyrenated phenol or tristyrenated phenol by 0.5 to 30 pts.mass, per 100 pts.mass of diene-based rubber comprising a particular conjugated diene-based rubber by 30 pts.mass or more and having an average glass transition temperature (Tg) of -60°C to -20°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
