Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform auto zoom control with a composition appropriate to the attribute of a subject determined based on authentification information of the subject without a photographer selecting any composition.SOLUTION: A subject detection unit of an imaging device detects a subject image from an image. An auto zoom control unit performs zoom control according to the size of the subject detected by the subject detection unit. The auto zoom control unit automatically selects a specific composition from a plurality of compositions and sets a reference size of the subject used for zoom control based on the selected composition. Processing of determining the attribute of the subject is performed by using information containing a subject authentication result by the subject detection unit, and composition selection processing is performed on the determined attribute of the subject, thereby selecting one of the composition of the upper body 1400 of the subject, the composition of the whole body 1401, the composition of the face 1402, and the composition of plural people 1403.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 23
