Abstract:
To provide a member welding position detector with which it is possible to easily detect an optimum position for welding a plurality of members.SOLUTION: A welding device 1, capable of welding two linear members 12 having contact surfaces in contact with each other, comprises: a camera 25 capable of capturing images of the two linear members 12 from a direction along the side face of each of the linear members 12; a coordinate acquisition unit 41 for acquiring the position coordinates of the side faces of the linear members 12 on a virtual coordinate plane on the basis of the images outputted by the camera 25; a shape computation unit 43; and a position computation unit 44. The shape computation unit 43 computes two quadratic curves representing the side-face shape of each of the linear members 12 by a least square method based on the position coordinates on the side faces of the linear members 12 acquired by the coordinate acquisition unit 41. The position computation unit 44 computes the welding position of the two linear members on the basis of the intersection of the two quadratic curves computed by the shape computation unit 43.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
