Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0528218
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PURPOSE:The heat energy which is released, when a mixed gas resulting from the stripping of the liquid fraction from the urea synthesizer, is reliquefied, is directly used to heat the stripping stage whereby urea is produced with greatly reduced consumption of high-pressure steam. CONSTITUTION:The liquid mixture from the urea synthesizer is fed from pipe 0 to stripper 1 where the mixture is allowed to flow down in thin films on the in ner wall surfaces of heat-transfer pipes and brought into contact with CO2 which comes up countercurrently inside the pipes. The heating chamber of the stripper 1 is divided into 2 rooms with a plate 3 and high-pressure steam of 17-25kg/ cm<2>G 6 is introduced into the upper room 4, while the gas mixture 10 exhausted from the stripper 1 is introduced and liquefied in the lower room 5 and the energy released on the liquefaction is used to heat the stripper. The condensed liquid in the room 5 is recycled through pipe 12 to the urea synthesizer.
