Abstract:
1. A process for the preparation of an unsaturated ketone (vinyl ketone) of the general formula (I) R-CH=CH-CO-CH3 where R is any unsubstituted or substituted aromatic or heterocyclic radical, wherein an appropriate phosphorylid (II) see diagramm : EP0150433,P7,F2 is reacted with an aqueous solution of methylglyoxal in the presence of a base.
