Abstract:
Hosiery everting apparatus has a suction tube over which hose is initially fully drawn and into which the hose is subsequently sucked to evert the hose, the apparatus having a movable clamp to draw the hose partly onto the tube and rotatably driven rollers which then grip the hose to the tube and pull the hose fully onto the tube, the rollers having an adjustable, slipping drive transmission enabling the driven rollers to continue rotating after a seamed toe end has engaged the end of the suction tube so that an adjustable tension can be exerted by the rollers on the hose before it is sucked into the tube.
