Abstract:
Novel compounds of the formula wherein Y is hydrogen, halogen, amino, acylamino, acyloxy, azido, mercapto, thiocarboxy, the groups in which AA is an amino acid or peptide and W is OH or the same as AA; or physiologically acceptable salts thereof, processes for their preparation, pharmaceutical preparations containing the compounds, use of the compounds, and methods for treatment, and chemical intermediates. The compounds are active as enzyme inhibitors and useful as antibacterial agents or as intermediates for preparing antibacterial agents.
