Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formulaI(R<1> is H, lower alkyl; R<2> is H, halogen; R<3> is H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, hydroxyl; n is 1,2; Z is O, S, methylene). EXAMPLE:9-Fluoro-8-(4-hydroxy-1-piperidyl)-5-methyl-6,7-dihydro-oxo-1H ,5H-benzo[ij]quinolidine-2-carboxylic acid. USE:Antibiotic, external bactericide or disinfectant: it is effective against gram- positive and negative bacteria. It is very weak in side-effects and low in toxicity. It is used for treatment of diseases caused by various kinds of bacteria in human beings, animals or fishes. Especially, it shows high antibiotic activity against gram-positive bacteria. It also shows strong antibiotic activity against bacteria resistant to penicillins. PREPARATION:The reaction of a compound of formula II (X<1> is halogen, lower alkanesulfonyloxy) with another compound of formula III gives the compound of formula I. The dose of the compound of formula I is about 0.2-100mg/kg, day.
