Title:
13-ALKYL-23-IMINO-AND 13-HALO-23-IMINO-DERIVATIVE OF LL-F28249 COMPOUND AND ITS USE AS ANTHELMINTICS AGAINST ENDOPARASITES AND EXOPARASITES, INSECTICIDES, ACARICIDES AND NEMATOCIDES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH03106886
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [R1 is methyl, ethyl, etc.; R7 is H; R8 is H or alkoxy; R7 and R8 together are C=O; X is F, Br, Cl or I; W is O or N=Y (Y is alkoxy, amino, etc.); the dotted triangle with the oxygen atom indicates a double bond or epoxy].

USE: Anthelmintics against endoparasites and exoparaites, insecticides, acaricides, nematocides.

PROCESS: For example, LL-F28249 of formula II (R2 is H or CH3; R7 is methyl or ethyl) is oxidised at positions 5 and 23 to give a dioxo derivative. The product is reacted with formic acid in the presence of SeO2 to give a compound of formula III having a formyloxy group at position 13. The product is hydrolysed to introduce the hydroxy group at position 13 and the hydroxy group is halogenated with a halogenating agent. The halogenated product is reacted with an alkoxyamine, etc., to give a compound of formula I having an imino group at position 23.
