Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple absence checking signal lock which does not use an electric circuit.
SOLUTION: A tumbler controlling the locking member of a lock box 1 is separated into an outside tumbler 19 connected to a cylinder lock via a tail piece and an inside 14 connected to a thumb turn mounted on the inner surface of a door, and a locking member control part 15 and a switch driving part 21 are formed respectively on the inside tumbler 14 and the outside tumbler 19, the outside and inside tumbler 19, 14 overlapping each other in such a way that they can be engaged with each other along the rotating direction. A catcher 26 capable of being locked to and unlocked from the inside tumbler 14 is provided at one end of the outside tumbler 19, and signals output from a switch 22 driven for switching by the switch driving part 21 of the outside tumbler 19 are taken out as absence and presence signals.
