To efficiently and surely absorb the irregularly reflected light of a laser, to improve the reading accuracy of a CD, and to improve sound quality at the time of reproduction of music, by making the whole or a part of the protective layer or transparent substrate of the CD black.
A block 3 outward from the central hole 2a of the transparent substrate 2 of the CD1 to the point, where a first bit signal 2b is recorded, and a block 4 from a point 2d, where about 1mm is added to the outer periphery 2c of a program area to the outer peripheral edge 2e are respectively colored black, to form this CD. The black is a color to most efficiently absorb all kinds of light (laser beams). The irregularly reflected light A of the laser diffused in an outward direction is absorbed in the block 4 formed black. The irregularly reflected light B of the laser diffused in an inward direction is absorbed in the block 3 formed black.
