To provide an activation limiting mechanism wherein even if a consumer touches a lever of a spray of a trigger-type liquid sprayer in a shop or the like, the lever is prevented from moving to cause a liquid to be sprayed.

The activation limiting mechanism 1 comprises a limiting member 2 mounted between a mouth 13 of a container 12 of the trigger-type liquid sprayer 11 and the lever 18 of the spray 14 wherein the member 2 limits activation of the spray 14. The limiting member 2 has a stopper 3 whose tip comes into contact with a rear face side of the lever 18 and whose rear end comes into contact with a side of the mouth 13 of the container 12, wherein the stopper 3 limits an operation of the lever 18. Even if the consumer touches the lever 18 in the shop or the like, the stopper 3 of the limiting member 2 limits movement of the lever 18. Thus such an accident that the lever 18 moves to cause the liquid to be sucked from the inside of the container 12 and sprayed from a nozzle 20 does not occur.
