Title:
ADAPTIVE EQUALIZER AND TAP COEFFICIENT UPDATE METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017092591
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce DSP computational complexity in an RDE-based adaptive equalizer.SOLUTION: A digital value obtained by sampling an input signal that is modulated by QAM (Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) is inputted to an adaptive equalizer 40. The adaptive equalizer 40 is configured to compensate for signal damage of the input signal by integrating and adding a tap coefficient to the digital value. The adaptive equalizer comprises: a code error calculation part 411 for calculating a binary code error e(n) by referring to an output signal y(n) from the adaptive equalizer 40; and a tap coefficient calculation part 412 for updating a tap coefficient h(n) using the code error e(n).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
