PURPOSE: To obtain a magnetic bubble memory for the high-speed transfer of data, by dividing the addresses on a minor loop into plural address groups and converting these addresses into the physical addresses with reference to a conversion table.
CONSTITUTION: The addresses on a minor loop are divided into plural address groups, and the logic address ADD of the address groups level is stored in a logic address register LAR. An address conversion memory ATM is referred by a part of the address ADD, and the physical address group number is stored in a register PAGR to form a physical address together with the residual part of the address ADD. Then a comparison is carried out between the physical address and the contents of the write-in or readout address counters WCNT and RCNT which synchronize with the rotary magnetic field through an address coincidence detecting circuit CMP in order to control the replicating action. As a result, the address conversion is quickly carried out with a memory of comparatively small capacity. Thus a high-speed magnetic bubble memory which continuously transfers the data of large capacity is obtained.
