Title:
ADHESION INHIBITING FIBER AGAINST AQUATIC ORGANISM AND ITS USE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0571074
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the title fiber excellent in efficiency for inhibiting adhesion of aquatic organisms to a fiber used as fishing nets, etc., by spinning a thermoplastic resin dispersed with two or more metal powders having different ionization tendency.

CONSTITUTION: Two or more metal powders having different ionization tendency, preferably copper powder and silver powder, are dispersed into a molten thermoplastic resin (e.g. nylon resin, etc.), or copper powder and carbon black are similarly dispersed into a thermoplastic resin and spun to give a fiber used for inhibiting adhesion, or preferably polyvinyl alcohol, a water absorbing resin, into which the above-mentioned metals having different ionization tendency are dispersed, is blended and kneaded with the above described nylon resin, spun drawn to obtain a fiber used for inhibiting adhesion. These fibers have remarkable efficiency in inhibiting adhesion and in excellent durability.
