To provide a simple, inexpensive and efficient pedal device suited to the pilot of all vehicles by providing an adjustment means operated so as to selectively adjust the position of a pedal pad to the free end of a pedal arm.

This pedal device 10 is provided with the pedal arm 15, the pedal pad and an adjustment mechanism 18. The pedal pad is provided with a slightly arched pad part for cooperating with the foot 30 of an operator 32 positioned to a seat 14 and an attaching part fixed to the lower surface of the pad part. The adjustment mechanism 18 is provided with an extension/ contraction module 34 and a driving means 35 and is operated so as to adjust the position of the pedal pad to the pedal arm 15 so as to adjust the position of the pedal pad to the operator 32 sitting in the seat 14 of an automobile. During an operation, when the foot 30 of the operator is abutted to the pedal pad, the pedal arm 15 is pivotally rotated around a pivot pin 20, a body cable 24 is moved and the accelerator assembly of the vehicle is selectively controlled.
