PURPOSE: To obtain rot-resistant paper, especially the paper fit for a flowerpot used in nursery transplantation, provided with paper strength withstanding the artificial and mechanical handling in drying and wetting and capable of invigorating the rooting from the sidewall of the flowerpot in an early period after the transplantation.
CONSTITUTION: The objective agricultural rot-resistance paper is capable of providing dispersed nonresistant parts and converting the other parts except the nonresistant parts into rot-resistant parts. This paper is obtained by impregnating the whole surfaces of paper formed from natural fiber alone or a mixture of the natural fiber with synthetic fiber with a rot-resistant agent and then applying the heating at a temperature for rot-resistant reaction of the agent and heating at a temperature for rot-resistant nonreaction of the agent by one operation. Furthermore, a method for producing the agricultural rot-resistant paper is provided.
