Title:
AIR CONDITIONER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2012145315
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an air conditioner that, when a rapid load variation occurs during an operation following a gentle load variation of frost formation or the like, prevents an overcurrent-protection stop function etc. from working to continue to operate.

The air conditioner includes: a motor connected with an outdoor fan for sending air to an outdoor heat exchanger; an inverter driving the motor; and an inverter control unit 9 for controlling a frequency of voltage output by the inverter on the basis of a DC-part current of the inverter. The inverter control unit 9 includes: a current-peak-value variation deriving unit 11 for calculating variation at a peak value of the DC-part current; a frequency changing unit 12 for carrying out a control of comparing the calculated variation with a plurality of thresholds having been decided according to the supposed operating environment and reducing a frequency of a PWM driving signal for controlling the inverter within a change width selected depending on the compared result, when determining the need for adjustment to reduce a frequency of the motor.
