Abstract:
The purpose of the invention is to control efficiently overall air flow without measuring static pressure and air flow in an installation format in which a plurality of indoor units are connected to a single duct. Provided is an air conditioner comprising a plurality of indoor units 1, 2, 3 and a duct 4, wherein a master unit microcomputer 10 and a slave unit microcomputer 10 find air flow volume Q for each unit. The master unit microcomputer 10 finds overall air flow volume Q for the plurality of indoor units including a master unit by including the air flow volume Q of the slave units, and determines whether the overall air flow volume Q is deficient or excessive with respect to a prescribed air flow Q0. When a deficiency or excess is determined, the master unit microcomputer selects a fan 7 for an indoor unit from the plurality of indoor units 1, 2, 3 including the master unit that can be driven most efficiently and issues a command to change the rotational speed of the fan 7.
