Abstract:
To further appropriately determine the propriety of a jet amount reduction pattern for reducing an air-jetting amount of a sub nozzle.SOLUTION: The method for controlling an air-jet machine, which comprises weft insertion nozzles 6 and 7, a plurality of sub nozzles 8, a first detection sensor 3 for detecting a physical property value of weft, and a second detection sensor 10 for detecting a target position arrival timing of weft, includes the steps of: selecting at least one jet amount reduction pattern from among a plurality of jet amount reduction patterns; carrying out test weaving based on the selected jet amount reduction pattern; specifying a physical property value of weft and a target position arrival timing using a detection result of the first detection sensor and a detection result of the second detection sensor, obtained by carrying out the test weaving; and determining that the selected jet amount reduction pattern is appropriate if the specified physical property value of weft falls within a predetermined range and also the specified target position arrival timing falls within an allowable range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
