Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor a state of weft running in a passage in a reed and to display a timing at full elongation of the weft before a weft tip arrival time.SOLUTION: A weft detection device of an air-jet machine in which weft Y is put through a passage in a reed by an air jet from a main nozzle 11 and a sub-nozzle 12 for putting the weft comprises: a sensor in a reed 40 detecting weft in a warp opening on the main nozzle side of the passage in a reed; a band-pass filter 47 (signal processing unit) to which output signals of the sensor in a reed 40 are input, for allowing the passage of an output signal of frequency in a range within 0.5-20 kHz out of the output signals; and a CPU 49 (estimation unit) for estimating timing at full elongation of the weft Y on the basis of an output signal value from the band-pass filter 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
