Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air jet loom in which a travelling motion of a weft yarn travelling with a reed is stabilized.SOLUTION: The air jet loom includes: a main nozzle 23 for blowing out air to cause a weft yarn A to travel into a tunnel provided in a reed; a plurality of auxiliary nozzles 25 provided with a blow-out port toward the tunnel provided in the reed 11 and blowing out air to the reed 11 to cause the weft yarn to sequentially travel to a woven end; a parallel stretch nozzle 51 for blowing out air toward a downstream side of the tunnel along the tunnel at an angle to draw a yarn end to stretch the weft yarn; and a pipe 45 that divides between the tunnel provided in the reed in an air-blowing out direction of the parallel stretch nozzle 51 and the blow-out port of the parallel stretch nozzle in a weft yarn travelling direction and that is airtight except at up- and down-stream ends. Air of the parallel stretch nozzle is blown out from the upstream end of the pipe to cause the weft yarn to travel inside the lateral end of a groove of the pipe 45.
