PURPOSE: To prolong the life of an electrode, in mounting a terminal to a collector of an electrostatic type air purifier so as to change the direction thereof to the terminal of a main body, by providing said former terminal so as to reverse voltage of an electrode.
CONSTITUTION: One terminal 9 of a collector 3 having plural electrodes is contacted with a terminal provided to a main body and the other terminal 8 is contacted with the terminal 17 from the main body to supply negative high voltage from a power source but, when the collector 3 is turned and arranged so as to change the direction thereof, voltages of each electrodes are made reverse. By this method, dust can be adhered to all electrodes and the life of electrodes is prolonged and the usable time of the collector is prolonged.
