Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device for a vehicle preventing mis-operation by the detection of a stationary object to be prevented without causing an increase in cost.
SOLUTION: This alarm device for a vehicle comprises a range sensor 101 detecting an object distance between a vehicle and the object present on the rear-side thereof, a vehicle speed detection means 103 detecting a vehicle speed V, a moving direction detection means 104 detecting the moving direction P of the vehicle to the side, a control means 102 generating alarm signals E based on the object distance, vehicle speed V, and moving direction P, an alarm means 105 driven in correspond to the alarm signals E, a time measuring means 102a measuring a time elapsed from the time of the detection of a moving direction, and an alarm distance setting means 102 setting an alarm distance as criteria on the object distance. The alarm device drives the alarm means 105 when the vehicle speed V is within a specified vehicle speed range and the elapsed time is within a specified time and the object distance to the rear side in the moving direction is within the alarm distance.
