Abstract:

To provide an allergen inhibitor that effectively inhibits allergens from reacting with specific antibodies and alleviates allergic symptoms or prevents their expressions and that hardly causes unexpected discoloration or discoloration under daily use conditions.

The allergen inhibitor is characterized by containing a sulfonate of a styrene-sulfonic acid homopolymer having a Z average mol.wt. of 150,000 as the allergen inhibiting compound. The inhibitor effectively inhibits allergens from reacting with specific antibodies and alleviates allergic symptoms or prevents their expressions, hardly causes unexpected discoloration or discoloration under daily use conditions, and can suitably be used for various daily commodities.
