Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum alloy and a sliding member improved in abrasion resistance.SOLUTION: There is provided an aluminum alloy which comprises 4.0 to 10.0 mass% of Sn, 4.0 to 8.0 mass% of Si, 0.3 to 2.0 mass% of Cu and Al, wherein in a predetermined cross section, the ratio of Si particles having a particle diameter of 6.0 μm or more to the total number of Si particles is 10.0% or more.
