A hot rolled aluminum plate has an aluminum content rate of 95-99.5 wt.%, being cut substantially at a right angle to the rolling direction. The number of edge strains is not greater than 3.334 pcs. per 1 m of the side edge part along the rolling direction, the maximum height of the edge strain is not greater than 2 mm, and the total height totaling the edge strain height is not greater than 2.666 mm, when the number of the edge strains and its height are measured, while the aluminum plate is mounted on the sample loading surface of an inspection table, with its center part extending along the rolling direction of the aluminum plate, being pressed and adhered tightly to the sample loading surface over the total length of the rolling direction.
